Patriarch-he or Patriarch-she?

The world has moved from Industrial Revolution to Today's Technical Evolution, and indeed it's a matter of pride, for our younger generations to experience a taste of all kinds of progressive and regressive battles our previous generations have fought.

But some areas of mankind still get woven by old threads in the name of tradition and culture - Patriarchy. Yes, it directly or indirectly exists around us, under different intensities. Right from beginning till the end, whether it is demanding LGBTQ+ rights , "Black lives Matter", or a Women who wants to live a life completely based on her values and decisions - Such areas of society are deprived of acceptance , and they need to fight to get their rights. Earlier, Dominant species in every domain, ruled the world, but times are changing, slowly social taboos and stigmas are getting dissolved, and mortals are becoming progressive.

There are around 5, 6 tribes around the world, wherein Matriarchal societies exists, that’s a sheer proof, that adapting the patriarchal system was mere a human angle and not any tradition or compulsion in the system.

Answer - US.

Few classic examples from the film ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’, wherein subjects like “After marriage a girl completely becomes a member of another family and literally has to cut-ties and adjust according to the Marital house”. The film also mentions a wife taking “permission” from husband to start a business, and also shows females are in a position of uncertainty, and has nowhere to go if something happens to the better half. After marriage, a women becomes a stranger to her own family, but a boy is still their heir, no matter even if he marries 10 women. Such are the few cases even today, and sadly we are told to ‘Normalize’ it all.

If marriage is a mutually divided custom - Then every decision must have mutual agreement and not just be followed, just because it has been followed since ages. It should be a CHOICE, and given equal importance.

Break the chains, because until when will these things be taken for granted? - Today’s generation needs to understand, what to follow and what to question, so that in the coming generations, females are equally the decision-maker in every aspect and not just be termed
